CAPTURE TIME

I’ve always wanted to create my own time lapse, but didn’t have the budget for it. I wanted to create something that I could just leave somewhere and not stress too much about it. This project can be done for under R1000. The plywood box was very simple to make and is extremely strong and protects the electronics from the weather. Inside the bis is a Raspberry Pi 2 with an infrared camera module, powering all this was a mobile battery bank which gave a good 6 hours of run time.

INFRARED?…WHAT IS INFRARED?

Infrared photography refers to the use of a film or image sensor used is sensitive to infrared light. The part of the spectrum used is referred to as near-infrared to distinguish it from far-infrared, which is the domain of thermal imaging.
